Smart Surface & Infovalley announce a strategic partnership in multitouch medical applications

The New medical application developed by Smart Surface & I-Gene (Infovalley)
Smart Surface Sdn Bhd and INFOVALLEY Group of Companies, represented by their subsidiary I-Gene Sdn Bhd, have signed few months ago an MOU for a strategic collaboration to develop a groundbreaking application of multitouch and surface computing in the medical field.
The Beta version of this technology was showcased at the 6th World Islamic Economic Forum, WIEF, that was held between 18 -20 May 2010 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.

INFOVALLEY Group of Companies is a leading developer of Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and Medical Informatics in Asia.
The collaboration aims at developing an integrated hardware/software multitouch system in the field of Forensic Medical Science. The system reconstructs 3D visuals using digital images generated by MSCT and MRI machines and subsequently enables autopsy procedures to be conducted digitally on a surface computer using hand gestures.

The 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) is one of the most important business forums in 2010 with over 2000 participants featuring Heads of State, government officials and business communities of the Muslim world and beyond.
Smart Surface introduced a Beta version of its latest multitouch surface computing medical application which is currently under development in collaboration with I-Gene Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the INFOVALLEY Group of Companies, a leading developer of Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and Medical Informatics in Asia.
